Governor Udom Rewards Akwa United With Cash, Landed Property For Winning FA Cup Title

The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emamnuel has rewarded Akwa United with cash gifts and landed property for their success at the Federations Cup where they emerged champions.

The state’s football club defeated Lobi stars at the finals of the FA Cup at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos on November 22, 2015.

Governor Udom treated the team to a banquet at the Akwa Ibom government house on Monday, November 30, 2015 where he announced that each player will be rewarded with N2 million and a residential apartment in Uyo, the states capital city.

The cash gift and landed property was given to the 35 players of Akwa United, four coaches and the team secretary.

In his remarks at the banquet, Governor Udom, praised the team’s dedication, discipline and determination to have won the first national title for state under his administration
