17 HABITS OF HAPPY COUPLES (ARE YOU AND YOUR PARTNER DOING THESE?)

Image
Do you and your partner do any of these things? If so, chances are you two are pretty darn happy together! CHANGE YOUR FOCUS A lot of the problems that couples have can be fixed if both people can just change the things that they focus on in their partner. Rather than focusing on what your partner does that annoys you, remind yourself of the things that you enjoy about him or her. So many people look for negatives even when surrounded by positives. ALWAYS SAY "GOOD NIGHT" We've all heard the phrase "never go to bed angry," and it holds true. Even if you and your partner are fighting, take a break to sincerely say "good night" before sleep and remind him or her that you still love being in a relationship with them. DEFAULT TO TRUST AND FORGIVENESS Every couple has disagreements, but how you deal with those moments is what really defines your relationship. A lot of the things couples fight about is actually a very small issue that can be dealt

BOMBSHELL!!! Father Mbaka Calls for Division of Nigeria; Says He Fears no Arrest.

Image
Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka is in the news again. This time, his words are being used to boost the renewed agitation for Biafra. In a video during a night prayer session, Mbaka is seen kneeling and making lamentations and declarations. At some point, he declares for a division of Nigeria re-echoing long-standing ethnic sentiments in the country. “In some countries, Nigerians are treated like monkeys. One of the biggest oil producing countries in the whole universe. That chain that is holding Nigeria will break this night, in Jesus’ name,” he prays in the video which was uploaded on YouTube on October 30, 2015. “If we must be one Nigeria, let it be one Nigeria! If we cannot be one Nigeria, let us divide! “I repeat it. So that when they begin to misquote me, catch me right. Let us divide. “If we are to di

Image
President Muhammadu Buhari has said that he will not lose sleep over criticism and that he wants to be remembered as a president who fought corruption to a standstill. Buhari during a press conference after the India-Africa Summit, which took place in New Delhi, called on Nigerians, who are not corruptly enriching themselves with public funds, not to be afraid of the fight against corruption and that they should encourage him to get whoever had compromised his position and the trust given to him. Buhari said remained resolute in the fight against corruption and would want to be remembered for that. Asked how he feel when critics say he is being selective the president said ”if they are not involve in corruption they won’t mind they would encourage us to get whoever compromise his position in the trust being given on to him. 9 Ways to Heat Up Your Connection in the Bedroom

Image
We love it when it happens in the movies: a couple making love, perfectly in sync, gazing into each other's eyes, and climaxing at the same exact moment. That mythical simultaneous orgasms can be hard to chase down in real life. But the ideal behind it is attainable for all of us: deep connection with your partner during sex. That raw sexual intimacy takes vulnerability, clear communication, and a healthy dose of self-knowledge. Are you ready to be this real with your partner when making love? We have some suggestions. 1. Don't fake it. First things first, if you're in the habit of faking your orgasms, that needs to end now. According to a 2015 Cosmopolitan survey, 67 percent of straight women have faked an orgasm. Some of the reasons may be altruistic (sparing his feelings). But you can do better than that. 2. Ask him to help you finish first. Another finding from that Cosmo survey is that 78 percent of women think their partners care about their orgasms. And yet! 72

5 Things That Make Cheating SO Common In Marriage (Says Science)

Image
Are you being careless with your marriage? I find these statistics staggering, don't you? Fifteen percent of wives and 25 percent of husbands have participated in extramarital intercourse. When including emotional affairs or sexual intimacies (without intercourse), the rates increase by 20 percent. The truth: "Complacency" in marriage becomes an open door. Couples aware of this fact approach their relationship as if they could lose something precious. You do not want your marriage to end up in that 35-45 percent group of couples that experience such devastation. A key way of preventing that from happening is understanding why infidelity is so prevalent in the first place. Here's why cheating happens: 1. Your partner assumes you no longer care Yes life gets busy. But rightly or wrongly, your partner may come to feel that your everyday inattention means that he or she no longer matters to you. Whether you've just given birth to your second child, or your

'One more before bed,' she wrote alongside the picture of her from behind. What followed was a fiery text message from her husband. Akpabio: We don’t send our daughters to Nigerian varsities for fear of sexual assault.

Image
Godswill Akpabio , former governor of Akwa Ibom state and senate minority leader, has lamented the moral decadence in Nigerian tertiary institutions. Speaking on Tuesday during the screening of Isaac Adewole, the ministerial nominee from Osun state, Akpabio said members of the upper legislative chamber are worried by the sex-for-marks syndrome in Nigerian universities. “In Nigerian universities today, many female students don’t go to class because they know that they will end up sorting,” he said. “The issue of sex-for-marks is very prevalent in Nigerian universities, which is the reason why most of the senators you see here, their female children are not in Nigeria because they do not want lecturers to ask them for sex in favour of marks. “If you end up as a minister, as a member of the federal executive council, how will you advise the federal government to address the issue of ‘national sorting’? The issue is very disturbing.” His question elicited laughter from some of his colleagu

Buhari And The Syndrome Of Sameness, By Okey Ndibe.

Image
President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration may have fallen prey to the political syndrome of sameness. In other words, his dispensation may well be firmly set to run on the same track as his predecessors’. Five months into the Buhari Presidency, there is a sense, even among his most fervent fans, that the expected momentum had dwindled—with little or nothing to show for it. Nigerians and the world have witnessed the demystification of a president who was billed as the very scourge of the corrupt, whoever they may be, however high their status. Today, five months into the Buhari Presidency, there’s little evidence that Nigeria has become an uncomfortable zone for those who most deserve to be docked for cutting down their country through embezzlement, money laundering and other forms of corruption. The one thing that Mr. Buhari was supposed to do well—that even some of his political adversaries conceded to him—was tackle corruption. Some even went as far as deeming him both allerg

Image
PDP Senators staged a walkout from their chambers this afternoon just before Amaechi's confirmation. They had insisted that the senate stick with the recommendation by the Ethics and Privileges committee that looked into all petitions leveled against the former Rivers governor and recommended that his confirmation be suspended due to the various court cases on alleged corrupt practices against him. The Senate still went ahead to confirm him.

PDP Senators Walk Out As Senate Confirms Amaechi, 17 Others Ministers

Image
The intrigues that shadowed the confirmation hearing of the 36 ministerial nominees reached an anti-climax yesterday when all but one senator in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP caucus walked out to protest the confirmation of former governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, as minister. In their absence, Amaechi was unanimously confirmed after the Senate had summarily dismissed the report of its Committee on Ethics and Privileges that had recommended that the nomination be put on hold. Besides Amaechi, 17 other ministerial nominees were also confirmed by the Senate in a session that was dramatically sketched in partisan political hues. Responding to the spirit of unanimity APC senators brought to bear in the confirmation of Amaechi, one of the drivers of the party’s victorious presidential campaign, the APC, yesterday said it was indicative of the fact that all internal crises in the party were now in the past. The Rivers State chapter of the party was equally effusive yesterda

Image
Keeping your relationship red-hot with sexting is easier than you think! Sexting. It’s all the rage these days. Or at least, you’d think it was if you spent a lot of time watching reality TV and reading Elite Daily. For those of us who don’t but would still love to add another racy gizmo to the toolbox of steaminess, it can seem both desirable and confusing at the same time. Done right, it can turn a guy on, build sexual tension between the two of you, and make him eager to reciprocate … both through the phone and in the bedroom. But done wrong, it can seem sleazy, or worse, downright pathetic and gross. It’s an art form, you see. Sexting isn’t just a matter of being all, “Hey! Wanna [insert explicit sexual act/photo here]?” There’s a method to the madness, and we’re going to explore it below like I talk about on my site. Ex-Gov. Attah quits partisan politics, slams PDP

Image
A former governor of Akwa Ibom State and founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party, Victor Attah, has announced his retirement from partisan politics. Mr. Attah, a member of PDP Board of Trustees, on Tuesday announced at a press conference in Uyo, the state capital, that he would be playing the role of an elder statesman to “continue to serve this country with love, strength, and faith”. Although it was not expressly stated, it appeared Mr. Attah was quitting the PDP to enable him mobilise support across party lines for the All Progressives Congress in Akwa Ibom whenever there would be a rerun of the governorship election in the state. The Akwa Ibom Governorship Election Tribunal recently nullified the April 11 governorship election in 18 out of 31 local government areas in the state, and ordered a rerun. Mr. Attah hailed the judgment as an indication that Akwa Ibom closer to being liberated. “What I had always wanted is beginning to come into focus,” he said. Mr. Attah, wh

Telling Lies Is Corruption, By Femi Aribisala.

Lai Mohammed, APC National Publicity Secretary, is one of President Buhari’s ministerial nominees. When he appeared for screening before the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio made a wry observation. He said: “If I know (Lai Mohammed) very well, he may have one or two propaganda to drop before he leaves here.” His Senate colleagues burst into laughter because they understood what he meant. Lai Mohammed is a master propagandist. He is well-known to be economical with the truth. During the election season, he cried wolf every other day, claiming to unearth new “fantabulous” PDP plans to rig the election. One of the most outrageous was his allegation that PDP used disappearing ink on the ballot papers of APC supporters in Ekiti. He also alleged PDP imported one Gyora Berger from Israel, with the mandate to jam all the card-readers in the North-West and the North-East. Our distinguished Senators failed to ask Mohammed about these tall-tales for which he is known and loved. They failed to

Sorry, Ladies! If Your Guy Does THIS, He’s Just Using You For Sex

Image
Here’s the one BIG clue that he’s just in it for sex. I was driving around Los Angeles with a friend of mine who was telling me that his “booty call” just broke up with him. So I asked him if he ever took her out to dinner. He told me, “Yeah, but I was paying it forward.” I started laughing, and I said “How long has she been a booty call for you?” He said, “I don’t know — seven months, eight months.” And then I started thinking to myself. Unfortunately, a lot of you don’t understand that you’re not dating a man, you’re just a booty call. So I think I need to clarify to save you months of thinking you’re headed for a relationship with a man. Here’s the definition of a “booty call:” You deliver or he delivers. You meet up, and it doesn’t matter what time it is. Booty calls often happen late at night. It doesn’t matter where you go, his house or your house. What matters is the outcome. Usually you don’t watch movies with a booty call. Most times, you don’t go out to dinner wi

Tribunal Sacks Rivers Speaker, 20 Other State Legislators.

Image
The Rivers State National and State Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abuja monday dealt a fatal blow on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), nullifying the election of the Speaker of state House of Assembly, Owaji Ibani, and 20 lawmakers in the state. The tribunal, while delivering the judgment in the case of the lawmakers cited cases of irregularities and violence among other electoral malpractices which necessitated the nullification of the lawmakers’ election victory. The tribunal ordered fresh elections to be conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to fill the new vacant seats. Indications however emerged that the affected legislators would appeal the judgments. But the governorship candidate of APC in the April 11 poll, Hon. Dakuku Peterside, has said his party now has 20 legislators, as against 11 for the PDP. Peterside whose gubernatorial ambition received a boost at the weekend when the tribunal equally annulled the elections

Donald Trump says Africans are Lazy Fools, Only Good in Love Making and Thuggery.

Image
ONCE again, US business magnate Donald Trump has expressed his deep disgust for Africans by referring to them as lazy fools only good at eating, lovemaking and thuggery. Speaking in Indianapolis, Trump who is also the republican Presidential torch bearer, reiterated his promise to deport Africans especially those of Kenyan origin including their son Barrack Obama. “African Americans are very lazy. The best they can do is gallivanting around ghettoes, lamenting how they are discriminated. “These are the people America doesn’t need. They are the enemies of progress. Look at African countries like Kenya for instance, those people are stealing from their own government and go to invest the money in foreign countries. “From the government to opposition, they only qualify to be used as a case study whenever bad examples are required. How do you trust even those who have run away to hide here in the United States hiding behind education? “I hear they abuse me in their blogs but I do
