TITANIC HOTEL

Image
There's a glamorous resort in Turkey with 550 rooms, three swimming pools and even a florist, but despite this, some people might be put off - because it's based on the doomed ship Titanic. The Turkish firm that built the hotel wanted to recreate the glamour and vastness of the impressive ship, which tragically sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on 15 April 1912 after colliding with an iceberg during her maiden voyage. Guests are able to stroll on replica decks at the all-inclusive Titanic Beach Lara, and re-enact the 'king of the world' scene by the railings from the movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. WHITNEY HOUSTON LYRICS

"I Look To You" As I lay me down, Heaven hear me now. I'm lost without a cause After giving it my all. Winter storms have come And darkened my sun. After all that I've been through Who on earth can I turn to? I look to you. I look to you. After all my strength is gone, In you I can be strong I look to you. I look to you. And when melodies are gone, In you I hear a song. I look to you. About to lose my breath, There's no more fighting left, Sinking to rise no more, Searching for that open door. And every road that I've taken Led to my regret. And I don't know if I'm going to make it. Nothing to do but lift my head I look to you. I look to you. And when all my strength is gone, In you I can be strong I look to you. I look to you. And when melodies are gone, In you I hear a song. I look to you. My levees are broken My walls have come Tumbling down on me The rain is falling. Defeat is calling. I need you to set me fr...

Passive smoking raises the risk of a stroke .

Image
Passive smoking can increase the risk of suffering a stroke by 30 per cent, according to new research. Scientists identified a clear trend between second-hand smoke and strokes following a study involving 22,000 people over the age of 45. They found that even after adjustment for other stroke factors such as hypertension and heart disease, the 30 per cent risk remained. Nearly one in four of the participants (23 per cent) had been effected by second-hand smoke in the last last twelve months. During the period of April 2003 to March 2012, 428 strokes were reported. A further analysis of the type of stroke was performed and showed that most strokes were due to blockage of blood flow to the brain. The study, published in the American Journal of Preventative Medicine, will join a growing body of work into the potential effects of secondhand smoke. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health.

50 Cent Files for Bankruptcy, Has Debts in the Millions.

Image
Curtis Jackson, aka 50 Cent, filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection today. In a document filed at a Connecticut court, the rapper and mogul lists personal assets and debts in the range of $10 to $50 million. The bankruptcy filing no doubt has something to do with a recent jury ruling ordering 50 Cent to pay a woman $5 million for posting a sex tape of her and making derogatory comments about her in said video. That woman is Lastonia Leviston, mother of Rick Ross's child, and the incident stemmed from a feud between 50 Cent and the other rapper. Earlier in the trial, 50 Cent made another bankruptcy filing for his struggling boxing company, SMS Promotions. The news of 50 Cent's financial troubles is all the more surprising given his equity stake in Vitaminwater, off which he made $100 million when the brand was sold to Coca-Cola. But as we've learned over the years, celebrities cannot always be depended on to smartly manage their money. From Cosmopolitan.

"Recently I went on a trip with some of my new friends and I had such a wonderful time. I packed for the first time — as just Caitlyn, nobody else — which is the first time I've ever done that." When asked to pinpoint her biggest disappointment throughout this process, Caitlyn mentioned learning more about the difficulties that transgender people face in their everyday lives. "It's been both eye-opening and...

The 10 Commandments of Friends With Benefits.

Image
We see a lot about failed relationships. A lot about love going wrong and all the drama that goes with it. It's one thing to endure a hideous breakup after a real relationship, but if you want to protect yourself from breakup blues with your Friends With Benefits -- there are some guidelines to follow. Breakups suck at the best of times, but there's no reason to go through those motions with someone who was -- for all intents and purposes -- an extended fling. So here you have it, the ten commandments of Friends With Benefits. 1. Thou shalt not get clingy The most basic and essential principle to FWB is that you two aren't dating or "official." Bombarding them with text and Snapchats is bound to scare them away, leaving you sexless and bored. 2. Thou shalt not linger After waking up severely hungover, squished against my wall, and with zero interest to socialize, the last thing I wanted was awkward small talk with the guy laying beside me. "I'll lea...

Setting goals: what to do when you don't feel like doing anything.

It was Robert Collier who correctly asserted “success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out.” All of the little actions that you partake in daily are not so little when you come to realize that the sum of those actions becomes your life, that when you add up all of the things that you do, what you are presented with is your life. Therefore, as Jill Tibbels claims “it takes a commitment from you, to you, that you’re going to reach your goals.” She’s right. Tibbels explains that there is a “fairly serious reality gap between what we tell others we do and what we really do.” This is an important realization to have if you are entering the world of small business owners because it is up to you to always keep in mind the actions and the consequences of your actions. Are you furthering your business? Are you making things more difficult on yourself? Are you leaving it stagnant? In order to “help you see what activity you are really doing,” Tibbels suggests “you work on on...

ISIS release footage of their biggest massacre.

Image
Islamic State fanatics have released one of their most sickening videos yet - new footage of hundreds of military cadets being machine gunned to death while lying face down in the dirt. The grisly footage shows executions on an industrial scale, as young men are seen falling from trucks and pleading for their lives before being lay down in shallow graves and sprayed with bullets. Others are shot individually and their bodies dumped into the Tigris River, while an excavator is seen shifting vast piles of bodies as the executions continue into the night. The footage reveals the true scale of last year's Speicher massacre, in Tikrit, Iraq, where up to 1,700 military cadets are thought to have been slaughtered. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk

STAYING SAFE WHEN SHOPPING ONLINE

Image
Staying safe when shopping online is something that’s becoming increasingly important. While the majority of Brits believe it’s their own responsibility to ensure they have a safe internet experience, more than half of us are not taking simple actions to protect ourselves online. According to the most recent National Cyber Security Consumer Tracker conducted by the Government, 57% of Brits don't always check websites are secure before making a purchase and less than a third (30%) habitually use complex passwords to protect online accounts. This highlights that we don't take the same precautions when shopping online as we do when purchasing on the High Street. While we wouldn't walk around with an open bag or our wallet on show, we're quite happy to take unnecessary risks with our credit cards when shopping online. With this in mind, the Government has launched a new campaign to encourage web users to protect themselves so they don't fall victim to cyber crime...

Could You Be Having an Emotional Affair?

Image
Flirtatious e-mails. Cell phone heart-to-hearts. Perfectly harmless working lunches. It's a new kind of adultery. There's no sex, but psychiatrist Gail Saltz knows trouble when she sees it. A client I'll call Sharon knew that something was missing in her marriage. She and Robert used to be passionate about each other, she said, but after 12 years and two children, she felt removed. Robert never asked her about work or what she was worried about or felt like doing. She was no longer attracted to him, and they rarely spent time alone together. Instead, she threw her energy into raising the children and her job as a paralegal. Life had become bland. Then there was Todd. He'd been at the law firm longer than Sharon and showed her the ropes. They would discuss complicated cases, and Sharon found his enthusiasm engaging. They'd grab coffee together, and soon coffee became lunch, and lunch led to phone calls and e-mails as their conversations went from professional to ...

Mexico's billion-dollar drug lord escapes prison on an underground MOTORBIKE:

Image
A powerful drug lord known as Mexico's Osama bin Laden has escaped from a maximum security jail for the second time - fleeing through an elaborate network of tunnels underneath his cell. Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman, head of the powerful Sinaloa Cartel, is on the run from Altiplano jail, 50 miles outside of Mexico City, security officials said. His audacious escape saw him dash through the mile-long tunnel system, which led to a building under construction next to the prison. The tunnels boast air vents, electric lights, emergency oxygen tanks - and even a motorbike on rails, according to Mexico's National Security Commissioner Monte Alejandro Rubido. This afternoon armed police were searching a half-built house believed to be at the end of a tunnel - where Guzman may have surfaced. Culled from www.dailymail.co.uk

WHAT ARE THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF SEX?

Image
We don't need rigorous scientific testing to accept that when done well, sex is generally pleasurable. There is also plenty of evidence that it helps you get to sleep, and can exercise a woman’s pelvic floor muscles, providing a range of benefits from enhanced sensation to the prevention of ‘leakage and incontinence’ and ‘post-menopausal vaginal atrophy’ in older women. Women have also found that sex can provide pain relief, although it might be difficult to separate psychological from hormonal effects. Writing in Sex by Numbers: What Statistics Can Tell Us About Sexual Behaviour, author David Spiegelhalter points out that these same claims – including that sex may help us live longer – get trotted out time and time again. So what's the science to sex? Can sex help you live longer? A much-cited study of men in Caerphilly (Sex in America: A Definitive Survey) carried out by a respectable team, estimated that an extra 100 orgasms a year was associated with a one-third reducti...

A New Paradigm for Making Love.

Image
A few days ago I had coffee with a good friend of mine who happens to be a licensed marriage / family counselor and a professional stand up comedienne (somehow, I can see how those two really go well together). We were discussing intimacy and she shared how she and her husband first “made love” on the dance floor at some local bar. She went on to described how their every move conveyed a deep sense of intimate giving to each other that could only be truly described as making love. This caused me to think about how so many couples have sex, but rarely really “make love”. That’s when it occurred to me that maybe the whole notion of what it means to make love is worth re-examining… Making Love a Thousand Different Ways in a Thousand Different Places My partner and I have the same experience my friend and her husband. Any time we walk or sit together and hold hands, we are making love. Most of the time when we kiss, we are making love. When we just lay together and listen to each other’s ...

Infidelity Today: 5 Things Every Couple Needs to Know About Cheating.

Image
I still feel the wound when I found out my first wife had sex with a man she met while I was on a business trip. She insisted it was a one time lapse, she felt ashamed, and told me it would never happen again. I wanted to believe her, but the uncertainty ate away at the foundations of our marriage and it eventually pulled us apart. It took many years for me to heal, but I did and found love again. I’ve been married now to Carlin for 36 years and we’ve managed to stay true to each other, though we’ve come perilously close to going over the line. Keeping a marriage passionate and alive for many years is not easy. Understanding and dealing honestly with infidelity can help couples survive and thrive. Here are some things we’ve learned over the years. Infidelity is not Easy to Define in Practice The dictionary definition seems pretty straightforward: marital disloyalty; adultery. unfaithfulness; disloyalty. lack of religious faith, especially Christian faith. a breach of trust or a disloya...

Why we have sex

Sex, since the history of man or human evolution has gone through several changes, even in terms of definition and form and the individuals engaging in it. Once upon a time, sex was thought to be primarily for reproductive reasons, then for the relief of sexual tension and later, for the sexual pleasure. Right from the explosive documentation of the Kama Sutra, various studies and experiences have been carried out by persons and institutions to unravel the mystery of human sexology and why, besides procreation, sex is important to mortal men and women. Incest-cartoonFrom the researches of Alfred Kinsey who is regarded as the father of sexology in the 40s and 50s to Masters and Johnson’s famous researches on orgasms of the 60s and 70s, sex has become a subject of great interest to all. Now, a research conducted by psychologists Cindy Meston and David Buss on why women have sex which is published in the Archives of Sexual Behaviour, the duo in their new book of the same title, have ...
